Who can attend the summit?

This summit is for female-identifying Black individuals who work in or aspire to work in technology, based anywhere in the world. We welcome attendees at all career stages, including:

  • Early Careers: Current students, recent graduates, or those with 0-2 years of experience
  • Experienced Professionals: Those with 2-10+ years of experience in technology
  • Career Changers: Professionals from other industries looking to transition into tech
  • Entrepreneurs: Black women building tech startups or businesses
Where is the summit taking place?

The 2025 Black Girls Tech Summit will be held in Berlin, Germany at the Zalando Campus on Thursday 13th November. You can secure your ticket here.

Is the venue accessible?

Yes, absolutely. We ensure that all our in-person events are fully accessible for attendees with disabilities. If you require any specific accommodations or adjustments, please contact us at natalie@thehillapp.com when registering, and we'll work with you to ensure you have the best possible experience.

How do I get to the venue?

We strongly recommend using public transportation to reach the venue. There is no parking available for attendees at our Berlin location. The venue is easily accessible by Berlin's public transport system, and we'll provide detailed directions closer to the event date.

Will food be provided?

Yes! Refreshments, lunch, and snacks will be provided throughout the day. We'll collect information about dietary requirements during registration to ensure we can accommodate everyone's needs, including vegetarian, vegan, halal, kosher, and allergy-specific options.

Will you be taking photos and videos?

Yes, we will be documenting the event through photography and videography for promotional purposes and to share the impact of our community. By attending the event, you consent to your image potentially being used in our marketing materials, social media, and future promotional content. If you prefer not to be photographed or filmed, please let us know during registration.

How can my company become a sponsor?

We're always looking for partners who share our commitment to advancing Black women in technology. Sponsorship opportunities include brand visibility, access to our talented community, and the chance to support meaningful change in the tech industry. How do I become a speaker?

We're seeking dynamic speakers who can inspire, educate, and empower our community. If you're interested in speaking at the 2025 summit, please complete our contact form here with details about:

  • Your background and expertise in technology
  • What topic you'd like to present
  • How your session will benefit Black women in tech
  • Your speaking experience (if any)

Our team will review all applications and get back to you. We particularly welcome speakers who can share practical career advice, technical skills, or personal success stories.

What should I bring to the summit?
  • Digital or printed Business cards for networking
  • Notebook and pen for taking notes during sessions
  • Fully charged phone/laptop if you want to connect on social media or take notes digitally
  • Comfortable shoes as you'll be moving between sessions and networking
  • An open mind and readiness to connect with amazing women in tech!
Can I attend virtually?

The 2025 summit will be an in-person event in Berlin only and we will not be streaming any sessions online this year.

What if I need to cancel my registration?

We understand that circumstances can change. However, due to limited spaces, tickets are non-refundable but you can transfer them to another guest.

Is there an age requirement?

Attendees should be 18 years or older.

What's the dress code?

There's no strict dress code! We encourage smart casual or business casual attire. Most importantly, wear something comfortable that makes you feel confident and professional, as there will be networking opportunities with potential employers and industry leaders.

Can I bring a friend or colleague?

Each person must register individually for their own ticket. Due to limited capacity, we cannot accommodate additional guests who haven't registered. However, we encourage you to share the registration information with friends and colleagues who might benefit from attending!

Will there be networking opportunities?

Absolutely! Networking is a core component of the summit. You'll have opportunities to:

  • Connect with other Black women in tech during structured networking sessions
  • Meet recruiters and hiring managers from our sponsor companies
  • Join breakout discussions and roundtable conversations
  • Participate in our networking lunch and coffee breaksWe have a fun after-party for more informal networking
